About Me

I am a Yoga Teacher and holistic health practitioner with over eight years of teaching experience, grounded in both clinical training and Eastern spiritual traditions. I hold a Master of Science in Acupuncture (Traditional Chinese Medicine), an Advanced Diploma in Ayurvedic Medicine, a Bachelor of Nursing and formal qualifications in yoga and meditation.

My work is informed by a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and evidence-based practice, alongside the subtle energetics of prana, meridians and the mind–body connection.

I began my formal yoga studies in India with Swami Vidyananda and have since taught in Australia, Mexico, Guatemala and Costa Rica. My classes integrate breathwork, mantra, meditation, and intentional asana sequencing to create a practice that is both therapeutic and transformative.

Mairead teaches Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Pranayama and Meditation.

Yoga Influences

Mairead’s teaching is influenced by traditional Hatha lineages, yin yoga, buddhist meditation practices and the wisdom of Traditional Chinese and Ayurveda Medicine. She honours the ancient roots of yoga and its modern evolution, offering classes that are grounding and accessible.

Teaching Style

My intention is to create a grounded yet expansive space where students can reconnect with their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and access a deeper sense of clarity, strength, and inner alignment.

Why do you practice yoga?

I practice yoga to stay connected to source and allow the cleansing of the four bodies, the physical, pranic, mental and psychic.

Why do you teach?

I teach yoga to share this wisdom and create spaces where people can regulate, soften and reconnect.
