Allison Berry
Allison Berry is the face behind PRIMAL Movement Therapy.
It is through Allison’s journey of understanding and supporting her son's diagnosis of ADHD and dyslexia that she was inspired to find out why he was having difficulty with functionality that she felt she took for granted: physical stability, emotional understanding, and cognitive function. Allison observed him thrive in some aspects of life, yet struggle and resent/avoid others. This inspired her to undertake further education in programs that directly and indirectly addressed the cause, not just the symptoms of his challenges.
Allison’s experience of helplessness and frustration as a parent with a child struggling to thrive is what inspired her to support families in their understanding of the underlying causes of neuromotor immaturity [NMI] and its effect on their child’s functionality. Allison’s experience as an educator, coupled with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of neurodevelopment, allows her to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to supporting parents and children: at home and within the educational setting.
Allison helps individuals achieve improved functionality and quality of life.
