Each week with psyche-education, movement and stillness, and practical psychotherapeutic interventions, you’ll gently shift into the parasympathetic state and learn to reconnect with your body and support self-regulation, restoring a sense of safety and presence, and promoting receptivity for deeper healing work:

🌱 Yoga & Breath Practices that incorporate gentle movement to help you regulate emotions, release physical tension, build resilience and feel empowered.

Please note: MSYT is holistic support for your healing journey and should not be considered a replacement for therapy or healthcare. It is an experiential course for embodied healing that’s open to all, regardless of prior experience.

✨ About Me – Pru Trundle

Hi, I’m Pru Trundle, founder of The Retreat Yoga Studio and 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗬𝗼𝗴𝗮 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆 (MSYT). As a yoga teacher and registered therapist with a Master’s in Psychotherapy, I blend yoga philosophy with somatic therapy and psycho-therapeutic practices to offer an integrative, and compassionate, trauma-informed approach to healing.

In 2019, on my own healing journey and after reading The Body Keeps the Score, I traveled to Massachusetts to study with its author, Bessel van der Kolk, a leading expert in trauma. His work opened my eyes to a profound self-understanding and compassion that changed my life and sparked a passion to support trauma survivors on their healing journeys.

Since then, I’ve trained with esteemed trauma and yoga specialists and completed a certificate in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy. These experiences are at the heart of MSYT, a unique integration of ancient wisdom and yoga, with somatic therapy and modern trauma science to guide you through the process of reconnecting with your body, regulating your nervous systems, and nurturing self-compassion.

I aim to create a safe, welcoming space where students feel supported in their journey toward resilience, self-acceptance, vitality, and inner peace. Join me, and let’s create a sense of home within, where you feel whole, empowered, and at ease.

🌱 Mindful Somatic Yoga Therapy (MSYT) is an experiential course for your personal healing journey. This course is not a substitute for therapy or healthcare but a perfect accompaniment.

🌱 If you’re a qualified therapist, some of the techniques covered in MSYT may be helpful in client work, and certain techniques may transfer into yoga teaching. However, this course does not extend the scope of your current yoga or therapy practice nor qualify you to teach MSYT specifically.
