Pranaa Yoga

The basis of the practice is to seamlessly balance the physical practice with a more subtle internal practice where consciousness, meditation, energy awareness and connection are experienced simultaneously. The approach to the physical practice is unique and varied and can be modified according to the intention of the practice. For example it can be held and supported with yoga props for a more technical, deeper or restorative exploration of yoga, or it can flow like a graceful dance synchronising breath, prana and movement. You are left floating out of your classes!

Traditional Tantra

Traditional tantra yoga classes usually begin with students lying on the floor, eyes closed.  The instructor provides guidance to quiet mental chatter allowing students to get comfortable with silence. In this class students lean in to the pleasure the poses provide. You will be encouraged to follow your own path listening to what feels good for your body.  This form of yoga is more a moving meditation than a physical workout. Traditional tantra yoga focuses on internal connection and reflection, with physical flexibility, strength, and prior knowledge of the postures taking a backseat to the primary intention of self-knowledge and empowerment.

Yin Yoga

Our Yin yoga classes are nourishing and grounding, with poses held between 3 to 8 minutes each with a focus on floor based postures. This allows a deep release of tension in the connective tissues (ligaments, tendons and fascia) to help improve flexibility and create a feeling of space and freedom in your body. Because of its slow, meditative nature, Yin can be both mentally and physically challenging at times as well as deeply relaxing. Savor this precious opportunity to soften into surrender and passivity. Suitable for all levels, and a perfect compliment to your Vinyasa practice.

Throughout the class students will receive adjustments and be offered additional props when required from the teacher so they always feel supported and comfortable in their body.
