Welcome to prana house
beauty....breath....balance....
prana house is
a newly renovated and spacious oasis for the coming together of yoga
and the healing arts. It was opened and inspired by director Julie Gargano with a vision to create a conducive environment to make this world a better place.
The space itself breathes....With two stunning light filled yoga studios; the Shiva Temple and the Quan Yin Temple, plus three simply beautiful healing rooms. With a definite sense of the ethereal, Prana House evokes an ambiance of sacredness and beauty. It is peaceful, heavenly and inspiring……… and is a sanctuary for personal growth and upliftment for the soul.
prana house was launched on May 27 2006 with a sacred blessing ceremony conducted by Claire East, followed by enchanting live Indian classical music performed by Glen Kneibiess and Chris Sprague. A combination of bubbling excitement and inner bliss was felt by all 150 individuals who graced our premises with warm wishes and blessings.
prana is universal life force energy, chi, ki, and it is what makes up all of existence. It is in us, around us and it moves and breathes and keeps us connected to Consciousness itself. It is the essential component that brings transformation and healing, whether this is experienced through the practice of yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation, or a session in complimentary therapies or through being out in nature. The more prana awakens within us, the more we are connected to our Soul. This brings us back to Yoga’s original meaning of Union: the Union of Individual Soul with Universal Soul.
house can be considered as the body, which is the temple of the spirit.
As we engage in healthy practices for the body, we nourish and honour our physical selves.
“If you know the body well, you know the soul well” –BKS Iyengar
Thus the joining of the two words, prana house, gives greater depth to the meaning of uniting the spiritual & the physical; creating heaven on earth and experiencing joy in this world.
Namaste
